Comments on: vsftpd chrooting without the headache, allowing shared directories

Hi,

It’s all good. I’ve tested mount –bind with 2 chrooted users and works fine

sudo mount –bind /home/shared /home/woody/shared
sudo mount –bind /home/shared /home/mcqueen/shared

Thanks for the information.
I’m confused with mount –bind. If you have a couple of users, say /home/woody, /home/mcqueen, and want to access the same shared folder at the same time, will this work:
mount –bind /home/shared /home/woody/shared
mount –bind /home/shared /home/mcqueen/shared

OH MY GOD THANK YOU!!!! THIS IS EXCELLENT! I have been trying to figure this out for DAYS! It’s EASY to find info for a NON-SECURE environment but for a SECURE environment it’s next to impossible. I am bookmarking this on EVERY computer I own. I appreciate your post. -hp
